Hal Fitzgerald
Chief Engineer
Hal Fitzgerald has been involved in the production field for
over 20 years, as a musician, recording engineer, producer and studio manager.
He is an accomplished drummer and percussionist with over 15 years of classical
training. Over the last few years, he has had the opportunity to collaborate
with some of the music industry's finest artists such as Lauryn Hill, Jessica
Simpson, Erykah Badu, and Kirk Franklin.
He holds a Bachelor of Music degree (BS) from the University
of Oklahoma and a Specialized Associate degree from Full Sail center for the
Recording Arts.
Hal arrived in Dallas in 1994 and worked with Studio Tech Supply
as their Pro Tools specialist. He spent several years traveling the southwest
teaching seminars as well as holding a teaching position at Collin County Community
College as an audio instructor.
From 1997-2004, Hal partnered with Rob Wechsler at Luminous
Sound, Dallas, TX and became Chief Engineer there in 2000.
Prior to joining forces with Maximedia, Hal was approached
by multi-platinum Grammy winning artist Lauryn Hill to record her new album.
Hal spent four months in Miami and New York before returning to Dallas.
